Occasional rental address in Poland — guide for foreigners
If you're renting an apartment in Poland, your landlord may require najem okazjonalny (occasional rental) — a special lease form that speeds up eviction. One key requirement is a substitute address (lokal zastępczy).
What is a substitute address?
It's a property where you can move if you're required to vacate the rented apartment. The owner of that property must provide written consent — oświadczenie właściciela lokalu zastępczego.
